Often described as simple, it has taken me years for me to assemble the required pieces to make a pinhole camera and develop the images.

Greenland Kayak Paddle Test

It started because even the slightest chill makes my Kayak paddle feel damn cold.  It's also slightly too big around for my hands.  I just couldn't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a good wooden paddle....so I decided to give carving one a shot.

Real Old Redwood

The only lumber to survive the old McCormick lumber fire over forty years ago. The growth rings assuming even a 3 ft tree diameter would make the tree that this wood came from at least 420 years old.

I met Photographer Michelle Gustafson​ through her work with with my old neighbor, Amy McQuilkin. For Missoula Outdoor Cinema I commissioned Michelle to dramatize our modest film series with young lovers, cinema and the night in Missoula.

Another day not editing

Just finished a successful presentation regarding 'Digital Media Assignment' for the Midwest Law & Society Retreat. I talked about student multimedia assignments and their unique place in teaching and learning, especially in disciplines that are distant from production disciplines like journalism or Communication Arts.

As successful and worthwhile as it's been, I'm still another weekend without as much as a keystroke on the barn film. Close as I came was a few weeks ago getting some country roads from various angles in and outside of my Dad's old Buick.​
